Leave Arusha and drive to Serengeti National Park, via Oldvai Gorge (option)--a place where prehistoric human fossils were discovered. The Serengeti ecosystem is one of the oldest on earth. The essential features of climate, vegetation and fauna have barely changed in the past million years. Game drives en-route with picnic lunch dinner and overnight Seronera campsite/Lodge.
Sunrise game drive, come back for breakfast. Proceed with game drive till lunchtime. After lunch drive to Ngorongoro crater --called the eighth wonder of the world and stretching across some 8,300 sq km, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in northern Tanzania boasts a blend of landscapes, wildlife, people and archaeology that is unsurpassed in Africa. The volcanoes, grasslands, waterfalls and mountain forests are home to an abundance of animals and to the Maasai. with game drive en-route for dinner and overnight at Simba campsite/Lodge. Option in Serengeti: The hot air balloon safari allows you to see the plain from higher above. Early after breakfast then depart for Ngorongoro Crater tour. With picnic lunch, descend into the crater floor, the largest unbroken calderas in the world, surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meters and with floor area of about 260 sq.km.12.00pm.Picnic lunch at hippo pool side. After lunch proceed with game drive. Later ascend and drive back to Arusha.
