Embark on an exhilarating 8-day group gorilla safari adventure to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Highlights:
After an early morning breakfast, you transfer from Kampala to northwest to start your Uganda tour. On your way visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a nature walk to see the rare rhinos in the wild natural set up. You may have your lunch in Masindi town then Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park- the 3.840 Kilometer, largest protected area in Uganda named after the wonder falls on Lake Victoria. At this point, the Nile River compresses and squeezes itself over a kilometer wide down through a seven meter canyon. This 43 meter drop of the falls creates a thunderous roar and a beautiful rainbow in a plume of spray – a splendid tourist scene ever. You will spend your Overnight and dine at Pakuba Game Lodge(mid range) /Red Chilli Rest Camp(budget) (FB)
After your early breakfast, you will be guided to the Northern part of the park for a game drive to view and photograph prominent wild animals typical of MFNP that include; hippos, elephants, giraffes, Buffalos, water bucks, lions and Uganda kobs plus the leopards on a good day, plus a variety of bird species. After lunch, you proceed to a two-hour cruise to the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls from where pressured water escapes through the narrow gorge forming a great roaring thunder the highlight of a Uganda safari/Uganda tour to Murchison Falls National park . Here you are assured of seeing the amazing hippos and crocodiles at a close range along the riverbanks. After you Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. FB
After your breakfast, embark on the 8hr transfer from Murchison Falls National Park via the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley heading southwest. Continue through Hoima till you reach the capital of the Tooro kingdom-Fort Portal,a warm and beautiful town situated in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon,”( the Rwenzori). Here you will have lunch at Mountains of the Moon Hotel in Fort Portal/any other hotel of your choice. In the afternoon you may transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park as you enjoy the beautiful scenery and sightseeing on the way to Enganzi Lodge(mid range) / Bush Lodge(budget) where you will dine and spend your overnight.
After an early morning glass of water/cup of tea, you will have a game drive along Kasenyi track and Queen’s Mile in the park. In sight you will have gigantic elephants, lions, buffalos, warthogs and antelopes. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax till you have lunch, after which you enjoy the two hours launch cruise on Kazinga Channel and have an amazing variety of birds and wildlife that majorly include; hipos, crocodiles water backs just to mention but a few. Later in the evening drive to the crater lakes region for more appreciation of Uganda`s nature as many animal have a salt lick around these salt lakes. Get back to Enganzi Lodge(mid range) / Bush Lodge(budget) (FB) for Dinner & overnight.
After an early morning glass of water/cup of tea, carry packed breakfast and lunch as you transfer to Chambura gorge-16 km long and 100 metres deep within the Rift Valley for a forest walk in search for the habituated chimpanzees other primates. The game rangers shall provide you with a walking stick for this a little tiresome but interesting adventure. After this primate walk, you will embark on the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Maramagambo and Ishasha sectors of the Park. You will dine and have your overnight at Nkuringo Lodge(mid range) or Wag Tail Eco Lodge(budget)
After your early morning breakfast briefing from the guides, embark on the mountains gorilla search inside the impenetrable Bwindi forest. Please carry along with you drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots while the rangers will give you a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is one of the highlights of all safaris to Uganda or Uganda tours that involve trekking gorillas and an exciting but a little tiresome activity you will enjoy in the Bwindi Tropical Rain forest.Once tracked You will be allowed to interact with and take photographs of the gorillas for only an hour. Right After tracking, go back to your hotel/lodge for lunch them make a scenic journey to Kabale through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape. You will dine and have your overnight at bunyonyi overland camp(budget)/ Arcadia Cottages in Bunyonyi (midrange)(FB)
After your early breakfast,transfer to Bunyonyi,on arrival embark on a 2 – hour boat ride inside Lake Bunyonyi to the various islands for bird viewing, scenery seeing and studying the Bakiga culture. After, transfer to Kampala en route but you will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch, another at the Equator from where you will take photos and buy yourself African crafts/souvenirs. Arrive in Kampala in the evening. Dinner and have your overnight at cassia lodge/emerald hotel
One of our tour representatives will transfer you to Entebbe airport for your flight back home.
