Itinerary

Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania, and transfer to your hotel. Meet your trekking team for a briefing and equipment check. Rest and prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight stay in Arusha.

Transfer to Londorossi Gate (2,100 meters / 6,890 feet) and complete park registration. Begin the trek through lush rainforest, home to diverse flora and fauna. Hike to Big Tree Camp (2,780 meters / 9,121 feet) for your first night on the mountain. Continue the ascent through the rainforest, emerging into the heathland zone. Trek to Shira 1 Camp (3,505 meters / 11,499 feet), situated near the Shira Plateau.
